2022 

  • G5 opens new offices in Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Cyprus, Montenegro and Kazakhstan.
  • Revenue increased by 6% in 2022.
  • G5 Store revenue grew more than 120% year-over-year.
  • G5 announces a new games development process and will launch 1-2 new games globally every year.
  • G5’s marketing team wins “Mobile Games Campaign” for Sherlock from the App Growth Awards and were finalists in the “Growth Team of the Year”. One of the two such finalists from the game industry.  
  • G5 launches “G5 Charity for Ukraine” campaign and donates over $250,000 to charitable and public Ukrainian organizations to help support displaced people impacted by the war in Ukraine.

  • G5 Entertainment celebrated 20 years in business. G5 games are now played in 192 countries and has served over 250 million users worldwide.

2020

2019

  • G5 begins to trade in the USA on the OTCQX Market.

2018

  • Revenues grew 28% in 2018.
  • Two of G5’s Hidden object games earn over USD 100 million during their lifetime.

2017

  • G5's share was the best performing gaming share in the world, appreciating 212%.
  • Revenues grew 120% year-over-year, with 99% of revenues coming from free-to-play games.
  • For the 5th consecutive year, G5 was awarded ranking on Deloitte’s “Technology Fast 50,” the only company to be ranked all 5 years.
  • The group acquired full rights to The Secret Society, adding another hidden object game to the company's wholly owned portfolio of games. The Secret Society surpassed USD 100 million in lifetime revenues during the year, the 2nd such game in the portfolio to reach this milestone.
  • Pirates & Pearls was launched in August, the company's first pure match-3 game.

2016

  • G5 continued growing and once again was awarded ranking on Deloitte’s “Technology Fast 50”, a list of fastest-growing technology companies in Sweden.

2015

  • G5 awarded ranking on Deloitte's 2015 "Technology Fast 50", a list of the fastest-growing technology companies in Sweden.
  • Revenue from free-to-play games grew 125% year-over-year and accounted for 85% of the group’s revenue in Q1 2015.
  • The accumulated number of downloads of the group's games surpasses 210 million in the first half of the year.
  • With the release of Mahjong Journey and Survivors: The Quest, and the acquisition of right to Farm Clan game, G5 owns 5 out of 10 best-selling free-to-play games in its portfolio.
  • National Business Rating awarded G5 Ukraine with #8 ranking in Ukraine and #2 ranking in Kharkov in its 2015 Industry Leaders rating within the category "Software Development".

2014

  • G5 awarded ranking on the "Gazell-company 2014" diploma by the financial newspaper Dagens Industri. The award is given to the fastest growing companies in Sweden.
  • G5 awarded #11 ranking on Deloitte's 2014 "Technology Fast 50", a list of the fastest-growing technology companies in Sweden.
  • On June 10th, Nasdaq announced that G5 Entertainment AB (short name: G5EN), a Small Cap company within the Technology sector, has started trading of its shares on the main market of Nasdaq Stockholm.
  • After transitional 2013, in Q1 2014 G5 Entertainment accomplished a successful transition to the business model driven by free-to-play games. The company returned to strong top-line growth and profitability, and is cash flow positive. Free-to-play games have generated over 65% of the group's revenue in Q1 2014.
  • The total number of downloads (not counting updates) of the company's games surpasses 150 million in early 2014.

2013

  • G5's continued growth recognized with several industry awards in Sweden - in 2013 the company was awarded a #33 ranking on Deloitte's "Technology Fast 50", a #8 ranking on ComputerSweden's "HIT-company" and was also recognized by the financial newspaper Dagens Industri as a "Gazell-company", an award given to the fastest-growing companies in Sweden.
  • The total number of downloads of the group's games surpasses 100 million early in 2013.
  • The board of directors announces plans to apply for the listing of the company's shares on Nasdaq Stockholm.
  • The Secret Society free-to-play game becomes the group's top grossing game on a continuous basis, consistently staying in Top 50 Grossing Games for iPad in key territories and achieving #16 Top Grossing Game position on iPad in USA.
  • The group announces that it is going to bring the number of free-to-play games in its portfolio to over 10 in 2014.

2012

  • The total number of downloads of the group's games surpasses 75 million and grows by several million a month.
  • Virtual City Playground becomes #1 Top Grossing Game in 45 countries and Top 10 Grossing Game in more than 100 countries, and sets a new monthly revenue record in July 2012, 11 months after its initial release on iPad.
  • The group launches several new games a week.
  • G5 starts selling its games on Amazon Appstore and Nook Apps.
  • G5 partners with over 80 development studios around the world to bring their best games to iOS and Android.
  • The Secret Society is released in November 2012.

2011

  • G5 develops and publishes such hits as Supermarket Mania 2 and Stand O'Food 3, and partners with tens of successful casual game developers to bring their games to iOS and Android platforms, which become G5's main focus.
  • In July, G5 successfully launched its games on Android Market for the first time, and achieved over 6 million downloads in 3 months.
  • Already the leading publisher of casual games on iOS and Android, the group sets the goal to release one game a week, and is working towards it.
  • G5 also makes move into social free-to-play games with the release of Virtual City Playground on iOS and Android. The game quickly reaches top chart positions around the world and iPad version becomes Top 10 Grossing Game in 94 countries and #1 Top Grossing Game in 33 countries.

2010

  • G5 accomplishes the transformation into a cross-platform developer and publisher of casual downloadable games on iPhone, iPad, PC, home and portable consoles. 100% of the group's revenue is the game publishing revenue.
  • During 2010, G5 releases 27 games compared to 9 in 2009. Group's portfolio reaches 44 games. Many of the group's games achieve top chart positions on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and G5 builds a loyal player following looking for new games from G5.

2009

  • G5 announces plans to release 8 games on the iPhone before the end of Q3 and puts emphasis on the development and publishing of own games for digital distribution.
  • G5 releases Supermarket Mania, Stand O’ Food, Mahjongg Artifacts 1 and 2, Success Story, The Mystery of the Crystal Portal, and Yumsters! 2 for the iPhone.
  • G5 releases Stand O’Food,  Mahjongg Artifacts 2 PSP minis and Virtual City for PC.
  • Company’s portfolio of published games reaches 20 games for iPhone, PC, and PSP mini platforms.

2008

  • G5 establishes development studio in Kharkiv, Ukraine
  • Sims 2 Castaway (EA), The Simpsons (EA), Hellboy: The Stench of Evil (Konami), Saints Row 2 (THQ), Red Faction Guerrilla (THQ) mobile games are released.
  • Supermarket Mania PC casual game is released on the leading downloadable game portals: Big Fish Games, Playfirst, Oberon, iWin, and many others.
  • G5 acquires 51% in Shape Games Inc., a developer of original PC casual games, including Stand O’Food and Mahjongg Artifacts series.
  • G5 becomes authorized developer for Apple iPhone, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, and XBox 360 platforms, with the goal to develop high quality downloadable games for all digital distribution platforms, including mobile.
  • The trading in G5 shares has moved from NGM Nordic MTF exchange to Aktietorget exchange in Stockholm

2007

  • In 2006 and 2007, G5 signs development deals with EA Mobile, THQ Wireless, Konami Digital Entertainment, and other publishers, and establishes itself as one of the top mobile game development studios in the world.
  • In 2007, Simpsons: Minutes to Meltdown (EA), Stargate SG-1: Entropy Syndrome (SkyZone), Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back (THQ), Hollywood Star (In-Fusio) games are released.
  • G5 develops a number of innovative mobile marketing applications for top brands.
  • G5 starts the development of Supermarket Mania – its first game in downloadable PC casual format.

2006

  • Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, and Scarface: The Rise of Tony Montana mobile games are released by Disney Mobile. Pirates game receives “Best Mobile Game 2006” award from KRI.
  • G5 begins to work with Electronic Arts (EA) on the first ever The Simpsons mobile game.
  • On October 2nd 2006, G5 Entertainment AB is listed on Nordic MTF exchange in Stockholm under trading symbol G5EN. G5 makes decision to concentrate on mobile game development and quit PC CD-ROM game development.

2005

  • G5 starts offering contract mobile game development services to the leading publishers, and signs development deals for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, and Scarface: The Rise of Tony Montana with Disney Mobile.
  • A group of Scandinavian investors acquires a stake in G5.

2003-2004

  • Fight Hard 3D receives “Best Mobile Game 2003” award from KRI.
  • G5 continues development of original games for BREW platform which are released worldwide on the decks of CDMA wireless operators like Verizon Wireless, Alltel, US Cellular, Midwest Wireless, Pelephone, Telstra, and others.
  • G5 further expands the development of PC CD-ROM games and releases a number of games published by Buka Entertainment and 1C Company, and licensed abroad by companies like Capcom, Atari, and Valusoft.

2002

  • Fight Hard 3D is released in USA on Verizon Wireless. The game is subsequently released on numerous CDMA operators worldwide as BREW platform rolls out, and the game becomes big financial success for young company.
  • G5’s first PC CD-ROM game is released and is licensed abroad, and G5 expands to develop more games for the growing market.

2001

  • G5 group is founded by Vlad Suglobov, Sergey Shults, and Alexander Tabunov, to develop games for mobile phones and PC.
  • G5 becomes one of the world’s first mobile game developers and starts work on Fight Hard 3D mobile game for promising Qualcomm BREW platform.
  • G5 starts working with publishers Buka Entertainment and 1C Company, and develops its first PC CD-ROM game.
